- Barbus poechii Steindachner, 1911 c: 531. Type locality: "Sumpflande des Tauche, Okawangaarm, 20 km nordlich von Toan bei dem Dorfe Ramakuatis im N'gamiland". Syntypes (2) NMW n° 19.991 (the specimen of 71 mm SL selected as neotype by Greenwood, 1962 b).
